About me

My Name is Kevin Pratt,

A garden speaker and lecturer for over forty years, previous Owner of Village Plants Nursery and 35 years as a landscaper in Hale and Altrincham. I am known country wide for my experience and knowledge of plants, identification, growing and horticulture skills. Since 2019 I am on the RHS Trials Committee, and Chair of the Nandina RHS Trials 2024, also a RHS GOLD medallist at Tatton flower show.

I am qualified in botany, soil science and horticulture, and now work part time at a 12 acre garden, Gresgarth hall on accessions and Propagation.

I’ve held two national collections in the past, Fritillaria and Eucomis, I have a hard back book with David and Charles. “The gardeners guide Fritillaries.” and my recent collaboration work in the book, ‘What Gardeners Grow, 600 plants chosen by the world’s greatest plantspeople.’
